Top pick: #7 (BLUE SHARK) (4-1) - Home bred is racing third off a long layoff and speed/stalker moves back to grass after a sharp effort on a sloppy surface at Saratoga in a switched contest Aug. 21. He's worked since and gelding by "Colonel John" has been competitive in both previous turf outings. gets a slight edge, but remember to reverse your exactas.
nd pick: #9 (Tiger D) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, he just missed last out at the "Spa" on the grass at this level. Working well since and I almost made him the top pick. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Boston Strong) (6-1) - Heavily backed in both starts, colt ran well in each and brings a strong closing kick to the contest. Freshened up for the past two months, he's working frequently and steadily and son of "Pioneer of the Nile" is in the three horse win mix.
th pick: #10 (Keen's Cupla) (15-1) - Longshot moves back to the grass and stretches back out in distance for this attempt. Colt ran evenly in the same last race as "Tiger D" and may grab a share of this at a big price.
th pick: #6 (Luv Dakota Style) (12-1) - Grey gelding is working well for his first race in 10 1/2 months. He showed some ability in a pair at that time and runs off a trainer switch to George Weaver positive. This is a tough spot and a minor award would appear to be his ceiling.
