2nd pick: #8 (Horoscope) (5-1) - He showed good speed before weakening to finish a distant 3rd when debuting in an off the turf contest Aug. 21st at Saratoga. He's worked since, and trainer Dave Cannizzo has done well on this circuit from his mid-level range barn.
3rd pick: #1 (Smarty's Pal) (8-1) - Well backed in the same Saratoga race as 'Horoscope,' he pressed the pace while wide before weakening to check in three lengths in back of that rival. Well bred, he draws the rail for this grass event.
4th pick: #2 (Bookew Bucks) (8-1) - NEW gelding was a 'neck' back of 'Horoscope' Aug. 21st at the Spa. It was his second start, and think he'll enjoy the grass this afternoon. A factor at a big price.
5th pick: #3 (The Intern) (12-1) - Debuting gelding is bred for the grass, and he worked a very fast half-mile here Aug. 2nd. It's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard.
