He raced evenly while wide when debuting here at this level going six furlongs on the grass Sept. 11th. Bet down to 2-1, trainer Chris Clement (17% second time out) leaves him in to race on the dirt. $170,000 son of 'Blame' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Fled) (3-1) - Lasix is added to the probable favorite. He's rallied to finish 2nd and 3rd in his first pair on the dirt. Both came going shorter, and the additional furlong he travels makes him a very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Appealing Briefs) (9-2) - Colt finished 4th here on the grass Sept. 11th. A solid first outing, he was 3/4s of a length in front of 'Dr Koy' that afternoon. In an under-rated barn (Jim Toner), and John Velazquez is back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #7 (Preferred Outcome) (5-1) - He moves to the dirt and is stretching out in distance. Competitive in his first pair going 5.5 furlongs on the Saratoga turf, he has Jose Ortiz aboard, and must be left in the mix.
