Top pick: #5 (DAVID ROCKS) (9-2) - Gelding set a solid pace before tiring to finish third of nine, beaten 4 1/2 lengths racing here at this level and distance April 15th. It was his first since late Feb. and he's since come back with a sharp half-mile work May 4th. Can take this with a bit of improvement, but make sure you box your exactas.
nd pick: #10 (Bold Over) (10-1) - Colt was bet down to favoritism when debuting at this level and distance April 15th at Aqueduct. Home bred by 'Posse' broke sharply, set a quick and pressured pace, then tired during the stretch run to finish off the board. Working well at Monmouth since then, trainer Kelly Breen wins at a 25% rate (7 for 28) second time out.
rd pick: #8 (Suspicious Mind) (6-1) - He chased and weakened late here at this tag May 8th. Only beaten 3-lengths, colt had missed by a 'neck' in his previous start. In shape. he should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
th pick: #1 (Posse Man) (5-1) - Grey gelding has early speed, draws the rail, and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Trainer Alan Goldberg has him making back-to-back starts for the first time and this 3-year-old is a threat at a square price.
th pick: #2 (Startripenterprise) (12-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, he's training steadily for his first race in eight months. May get a share at a big price if ready with his best.
