Top pick: #7 (CHARITY BALL) (4-1) - Lightly raced and well-bred, she faces winners for the first time following a maiden win at Aqueduct on April 14 racing at this "flat" mile trip. Daughter of "Indian Charlie" draws a nice outside post and gets a slight edge in a tough race.

2nd pick: #1 (Sister State) (3-1) - Darley home-bred is beautifully bred and is another who is lightly raced and improving. Filly by "A.P.Indy" broke her maiden here at this distance on May 3 and has worked fast since. Believe she has a bright future and I almost made her the top pick and she should be viewed as the equal of "Charity".

3rd pick: #8 (Garnet Street) (12-1) - Longshot is back in shape following a six month layoff and a trainer switch to Pat Reynolds( the original trainer of "Derby" winner "Big Brown"). Mare has a one run style, draws a fine outside post, and she like this surface (6-2-1-0).

4th pick: #2 (Read the Research) (7-2) - She's won more races (4) than any other entered and comes off a career best when she won here at this distance on April 26. Working well since and this New York-bred can factor despite moving up in class.
