Top pick: #10 (KINGSFORD DRIVE) (4-1) - Gelding ships from Keeneland where he was an easy winner on the "poly" there on April 21st. He was claimed that day by Danny Gargan for $16K and he moves him up in price and switches him to the grass. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #4 (Capetown Devil) (3-1) - The probable favorite, speedy gelding runs off a 70-day break and will be going dirt to turf for trainer Bob Hess Jr. The 4-year-old is working very fast for this and is dangerous on the front end.
3rd pick: #8 (Decisive Move) (5-1) - Well-bred gelding finished third on this surface 13 days ago when racing for a $25K tag and was claimed that day by Dom Galluscio (20% off the claim). Fits, and will be making his third start back off almost a half-year's absence.
4th pick: #2 (Fizzano) (8-1) - He has a fine record on this course (95-2-0-2), but hasn't started since Sept. 12. He's run well off of layoffs in the past and strong finisher would love a fast/and or contested pace to develop.
