Top pick: #9 (BAY ROAD) (8-5) - Nicely bred 3-year-old filly is lightly raced and ships from Gulfstream where she finished 10th of 12, beaten 6 lengths on March 20th racing for a $75K tag. Encouraging run came off a 75 day break and trainer Carl Domino will drop her way down and has her making back-to-back starts for the first time.
2nd pick: #8 (Ivanova) (3-1) - Much improved in her last pair and it coincided with a switch from dirt to turf. Latest saw her rally from far back to finish fourth of 10, beaten 2 1/2 lengths when racing at this tag and trip at Aqu. on April 19th. Stretch threat in this weak field.
3rd pick: #6 (Bargaining Table) (12-1) - Claimed on Feb. 1 for $35K, filly finished a distant and trouble third on April 3rd in a dirt sprint at this level in her first for the new barn. She's worked well since and trainer John Toscano Jr. moves her to the turf and stretches her out in distance.
4th pick: #5 (Little Gabby Girl) (6-1) - She's shown improved speed since blinkers were added two back and trainer Bruce Brown will try her on the grass for the first time. Bred for the surface, and her speed in this sub-par field makes her a bit interesting.
