Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (GAME BREAK) (5-1) - A lightly raced son of 'Blame', 3yo was only beaten 1.5 lengths here at this level and distance June 9. Colt lunged at the break and quickly recovered to race close up before weakening slightly at the end. Trainer Mike Maker adds both blinkers and Jose Ortiz and I give this $50K purchase a slight edge in a contest where you should box your bets.
2nd pick: #9 (Dove Shoot) (6-1) - This speedy 5yo set a quick pace and held until the final 1/16th when he tired to finish fifth, 4.5 lengths behind 'Game Break'. It was his second back following a 9 month layoff and he should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #8 (Magnesite) (7-2) - Another that's lightly raced, 3yo has finished 3rd in all of grass attempts. He did so here at this level and distance June 9 and was beaten just under a length. An obvious win candidate.
4th pick: #5 (No Worries Mate) (12-1) - Longshot raced extremely wide when missing by just under 3 lengths here at this level going 6 furlongs May 27. It was his first start since Dec. 8 and he should like the additional furlong he travels today.
