Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (KUNDRAY) (3-1) - Well bred filly has been freshened up since missing by a 'neck' facing 'open' company going a mile at Keeneland April 9. Only her third lifetime start, it was her first with lasix administered. Working fast at Fair Hill, $250,000 daughter of 'Distorted Humor' is facing fellow New York breds for the first time. The presence of John Velazquez adds to the positives.
nd pick: #11 (Sugar Reef) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer Chris Clement, and the pair race uncoupled. Filly rallied while very wide to finish 3rd when debuting here at this level and distance May 12. It was a solid first attempt, and she can factor at a square price with normal second out improvement.
rd pick: #5 (Maddie's Revenge) (7-2) - Lasix is added for this attempt. The second of the Clement trained fillies, she rallied to finish 2nd in her debut and was a 1/2-length in front of stable-mate 'Sugar Reef.' Home bred retains Castellano, and the lasix angle is a 27% winning move by Clement.
th pick: #2 (Munchkin Money) (5-1) - She raced both wide and evenly when finishing just off of both 'Sugar Reef' and 'Maddie's Revenge' when debuting May 12. Trainer Chad Brown (28% second time out) is adding blinkers (22%), and Irad Ortiz Jr. is back on the re-ride.
th pick: #9 (Alabama Bound) (6-1) - She cost less ($2,500) than an old used car, but has already earned $15K. Filly missed by a 'head' here at this level and distance May 26 in her first start in six months. She'd worked well since and her speed/stalking style is a plus. Must be left in the mix.
