It was his first start in seven months and he seemed a bit short. Son of 'Giant's Causeway' has worked a bullet since and should love this longer trip. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Bad Scooter) (8-1) - He rallied strongly to miss by less than a length facing a bit weaker May 29. By far a career best, this long-winded type should like this longer distance.
3rd pick: #2 (Bugle Blues) (5-1) - Owned and trained by Roy Lerman, gelding has improved noticeably since moving to the grass. Not beaten much in his last pair, large specimen draws a good post and is a late threat.
4th pick: #1 (Convert) (12-1) - Bred to run all day he moves back in with state breds after an even effort last out facing open company. Improving, has the rail, and can factor at a big price.
