Gelding is stringing starts together since returning from a nine month lyoff in late Feb., and is set on the drop for a big effort.
2nd pick: #4 (Ballerino) (7-2) - Strong finisher has improved noticeably since lasix was added by owner/trainer Roy Lerman. Grey gelding missed by a head at Tampa Bay on April 20th and will get the addition of blinkers for his local debut.
3rd pick: #9 (Night Editor) (15-1) - Longshot has a bit of speed and is also capable of stalking. He's been racing evely for some time now, but meets a pretty weak field and think he can factor at a big price.
4th pick: #3 (Lion Aint Easy) (84) - Lightly raced, he just missed two back at this level, but raced evenly in his latest. Has talent and his best puts him squarely in this.
5th pick: #1 (Huge Asset) (8-1) - Lightly raced, he has some speed and is working nicely for his first back off a pair of layoffs. His AM drills are impressive and he could be in this a long ways at a square price.
