Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (SOURCE CONTROL) (3-1) - Gelding has been competitive in two straight for the Rudy Rodriguez barn. Stalker is working fast for his first since April 22 and draws a nice outside post for this distance. It's of note that Irad Ortiz, Jr. is back aboard following a one-race absence.
nd pick: #1 (Skeet Shot) (7-2) - Grey gelding by 'Trappe Shot' tired badly while very wide facing tougher going 8.5 furlongs here on a sloppy surface May 13. It was his first following a claim after being competitive in his first three starts sprinting. Barn drops him back down, shortens him up, and Jose Ortiz is riding for the first time. A win candidate from his rail post.
rd pick: #5 (Pimm's Cup) (8-1) - Lightly raced, he was never really involved after being bumped off stride out of the gate here at this level May 20. He had finished a pace-setting 2nd in his previous start and can factor with a trouble free beginning.
th pick: #10 (Filius Scat) (10-1) - One of two making their debuts, 4yo is from a capable barn (Steve Klesaris), and this gelding by 'Scat Daddy' worked a very sharp half-mile here May 28. Can factor if ready.
th pick: #11 (Rossie Val) (4-1) - He set the pace before weakening to finish 2nd here at this level going seven furlongs May 14. It was his first back from a two-month break and he can grab a share with a repeat of it.
