Top pick: #9 (CORINTHIAN SUMMER) (9-5) - The probable favorite, colt just missed here at this tag going a bit farther on June 19th. Son of "Corinthian" had displayed ability in the past and he can add to trainer Chris Clement's impressive record at this meet.
nd pick: #4 (Sampson County) (6-1) - One-paced type is racing third back from a three month freshening and second off a Laura Perillo claim. Four-year-old finished a distant second last out on a muddy surface when racing for a $20K tag and Perillo moves him up in class and switches him to the turf.
rd pick: #6 (Jigsaw) (3-1) - Well bred colt is lightly raced, improving, and his trainer (Gary Contessa) has been on a good roll for the past month. This son of "Ghostzapper" drops down after a third-place finish here June 11th when facing tougher and must be left in mix.
th pick: #7 (Tell Jose) (5-1) - Son of "Indian Charlie" showed early speed before tiring badly when debuting facing tougher at Churchill Downs on June 14th. Capable barn (Ed Kenneally) drops him down and has Jose Lezcano aboard. The trainer/jockey combo has won with 24 of 98 over the past 18 1/2 months when teamed up.
th pick: #3 (Seldom Seen Slim) (15-1) - Longshot exits the same June 13th race as "Sampson" and tired to run third that afternoon five lengths back of that rival. He's racing first off a Gary Gullo claim and he doubles him up in value and moves him back to the grass. His best ever came here at this tag on May 29th in his only turf effort to date.
