Speed/stalker has worked since and trainer Jon Thomas is 5-for-10 (50%) at this meet has her nicely spotted in his starter-allowance ($50K level)
2nd pick: #10 (Avery Mave) (3-1) - Mare is racing third back following almost a half-year's absence. Five-year-old finished third of 12, beaten just over a length at this level going 7 furlongs June 15 and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Hoponthebusgus) (4-1) - She was a winner here going a mile on the grass for a $50K tag May 4 in her first race since Dec. 29. In her follow up at this level June 20, 4-year-old raced evenly when checking in third at that same mile trip. Barn shortens her up in distance, but she'll need to avoid a wide trip from her outside post for anything more than a minor award.
4th pick: #7 (Samara) (9-2) - Improving sort missed by a 'neck' to 'Orecchiette' last out for a $50K tag at this distance. Claimed that afternoon by Mike Maker, speed/stalker fits and her flexible style is a plus.
