2nd pick: #2 (Gee Pea Ess) (7-2) - Four-year-old has has become a much better runner since trainer Michelle Nevin switched him to the grass in late December. He's gone 3-0-1-2 since then, the latest pair going five furlongs at Gulfstream. In shape and he should enjoy the additional furlong he travels in this spot.
3rd pick: #1 (Wyeth) (4-1) - One of three making their debuts, $300K gelding by 'Candy Ride' ships from Florida where he was in steady training at the Palm Meadows center. In the barn of Chad Brown (20% first out), he and jockey Javier Castellano have won with 79 of 251 (31%) when teamed up over the past 16 months.
4th pick: #3 (Conquest See Ya) (9-2) - Colt cost $600,000 as a 2-year-old in training in March of 2015. He rallied to finish a close up third when debuting in a five furlong sprint on the all weather surface at Woodbine April 9. Trainer Mark Casse (26% 2nd time out) brings him back quickly, switches him to the grass, and sends him an additional furlong.
5th pick: #11 (Mr. Neetie) (8-1) - Bet down to 2-1 when debuting at Gulfstream March 23, he raced evenly while finishing 2.5-lengths behind today's rival 'Gee Pea Ess.' He's worked three times since, has Lasix added, and John Velazquez stays aboard.
