Top pick: #5 (TREASURE BEACH) - Accomplished English-bred world traveler has banked $2.2M in 14 starts and was a winner of the $2,000,000 Group 1 Irish Derby in late June of 2011 at the Curragh. Colt has been freshened-up since late April when he raced evenly in a rich Group 1 contest in Hong Kong. He's been to North America in the past and won the (G1) Secretariat stakes at Arlington last August. Son of "Galileo" has beaten tougher fields in the past and can take this with her best.
2nd pick: #3 (Point of Entry) - Well-bred and rapidly improving colt from the Phipp's Stable has improved dramatically since trainer "Shug" McGaughey added blinkers last Sept. Son of "Dynaformer" has won 3-of-5 since then, including a win at Keeneland April 27th in the (G2) Elkhorn stakes. Believe he's the main danger.
3rd pick: #7 (Hudson Steele) - The main speed, he had a two race stakes winning streak snapped here when he tired very late to finish fourth after setting the pace in the (G1) Manhattan stakes on June 9th. His speed makes him dangerous, but this 11-furlong trip is a bit of a question mark.
