Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (ZINDAYA) (8-5) - Mare is racing second back off a 10 month layoff and is seeking a repeat win in this stakes. Speed/stalker finished a pace-chasing second here to the hard-hitting 'Lady Shipman' in her return to action going 6-furlongs on this course in a $100K stakes May 1. Working fast since, 5-year-old likes the Belmont turf (5-3-1-0) and she draws a nice outside post for this distance.
nd pick: #9 (La Berma) (8-1) - Irish import ships from Santa Anita where she tired after setting a quick and pressured ace in a G2 stakes going a mile May 5. It was her first in North America and first in seven months. Filly kept top company when racing in France before being imported and finished second in a Group 3 stakes at this trip facing males in Early September.
rd pick: #1 (Shrinking Violet) (4-1) - Veteran grass sprinter has won multiple grass sprint stakes and has gone 15-7-1-2 overall on the turf. She's never raced at this trip, but won a G2 going 6.5 furlongs at Santa Anita in early January of 2015. Stretch runner has a speed/stalking style and was only a length behind 'Zindaya' here May 1.
th pick: #4 (Miss Ella) (12-1) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old ships from Keeneland where she an both wide and evenly going 5.5 furlongs in a $100K grass sprint April 16. It was her first race in six months and she should move forward off of it. She may grab a share at a big price.
th pick: #3 (Mississippi Delta) (5-1) - She's been sharp in all three starts this year after returning from a 6.5 month layoff in early March. Home bred ships down from Woodbine where she missed by a 1/2 length in a G2 turf stakes going a mile May 29. She's coming back in just 12 days and can factor if she doesn't scratch.
