Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (DIGITAL AGE) (9-2) - Colt is one of two entered by Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. Strong finisher won the G2 American Turf at Churchill Downs May 4, then was very competitive in a pair of rich G1s. Last out he middle moved on the far turn into an extremely slow pace and that's not his style. Think he can win this if he's taken back early and makes a run turning for home.
nd pick: #2 (A Thread of Blue) (7-2) - The main speed most every time he runs, colt has been competitive in all nine starts on the grass. He was less than a length behind 'Digital Age' May 4 at Churchill, then defeated that rival in the rich Saratoga Invitational Derby Aug. 4. Son of 'Hard Spun' has an inside draw and is dangerous as always if left alone on the lead in the first half-mile.
rd pick: #9 (Uncle Benny) (10-1) - Longshot showed a lot of potential in his three starts as a 2yo in 2018 before going in for a nine month layoff. He looked sharp when winning a $100K turf sprint here Sept. 8 and is stretching out in distance for this attempt. That's a 26% winning move by trainer Jay Servis who has been 'on fire' at this meet 35-12-5-4. A very interesting longshot.
th pick: #1 (Henley's Joy) (8-1) - A son of 'Kitten's Joy', he makes a lot of dances and has been competitive against both 'Digital Age' and 'A Thread of Blue' in the past. Stalker draws a great post to save ground from and can factor with his best at a square price.
th pick: #7 (Standard Devotion) (5-1) - The second of the pair from Chad Brown, he's won two of three since switching to the turf and is the type that can 'run all day'. A 450,000 son of 'Curlin', a fast and/or contest pace would help his late running style out.
