Top pick: #2 (LONGHUNTER) - English-bred colt showed some talent in Ireland last year at age two and was sent here sometime last fall and into the barn of Chris Clement. He won a small stakes at Gulfatream April 2nd in his second U.S. outing, then finished second to today's rival "Fastest Magician" in an over-night stakes on this course May 22nd. Working fast since, he goes a bit farther in distance and raced well over-seas on courses that had moisture in them (which may be the case this afternoon). The top selection.
2nd pick: #5 (Casino Host) - Son of the mighty "Dynaformer" has run well in all four starts and broke his maiden at Gulfstream March 5th over a strong field going 9 furlongs in fast time. Latest saw him rally but fall a neck short at Churchill Downs during "Derby Week" in an entry-level allowance, and he's working fast up at Saratoga for his first stakes attempt. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Fastest Magician) - Lightly-raced colt rallied to win a small stakes here on May 22nd and defeated "Longhunter" in the process. Race was his first on the grass, an impressive one, and he's working fast since. No major "knocks" from me.
