Top pick: #5 (SPA CITY FEVER) - Hard-hitting veteran was an impressive winner here going a mile when facing weaker on May 23rd in his first off a Dave Jacobson claim. Speed/stalker earned his best figure since March of 2012 and Jacobson has been on fire since the beginning of this long meet.
2nd pick: #4 (Readtheprospectus) (5-2) - Dangerous gelding is 8-5-1-1 overall and defeatted "Fever" when winning a 9-furlong contest at Aqueduct on April 12th. Working fine for this and he's the likely winner if the top pick fails.
3rd pick: #3 (So Scott) (8-1) - He's from the same barn as "Fever," but the two Jacboson trainees race uncoupled. Strong finisher has gone 14-3-5-4 over the past 15 months and enters this in top shape. He would benefit the most if the pace was fast/and or contested.
4th pick: #2 (Awesome Vision) (3-1) - Lightly raced, he finished an even fourth of five here going a mile when facing tough "open" company in a a 3x allowance-optional $75K claimer on May 1st. He'd won five of seven prior to that and moves back in with fellow New York-breds this afternoon.
