Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #12 (AVA'S KITTEN) (5-1) - She looked the winner every step when breaking her maiden here going seven furlongs on this course Oct. 10th. She has enough early speed to not let this outside post hurt her chances. One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown, and they give him a strong hand in this $100K stakes.
2nd pick: #6 (Llanita) (3-1) - English bred and French raced, she rallied to finish 4th here going 1 1/16th miles on this course in the G3 Miss Grillo Stakes Sept. 27th. Nice effort was her first in North America and first since August 1. The second of the Brown fillies, and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Wedding Dress) (8-1) - Godolphin home bred has been sharp in both starts. She missed by a 'neck' when debuting at Saratoga going 8.5 furlongs Aug. 16th. Freshened up until Sept. 24th, she got her maiden here at this distance that afternoon. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #10 (Belvoir Bay) (6-1) - English bred import went 5-2-1-0 in her native country. She defeated colts in a small stakes at Goodwood July 31, then finished a close up 4th at the same track in a Group 3 contest Aug. 29th. A threat if she brings her form with her.
5th pick: #7 (Celestial Sighting) (12-1) - Filly ships back from Finger Lakes where she ran 2nd in a $120K stakes going six furlongs on the dirt. She had been competitive in a pair of grass sprints prior to that and may hold down a share of this at long odds.
