Home bred daughter of 'Bernardini' has the rail, early speed, and is facing stakes competition for the first time. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Frosty Margarita) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Rudy Rodriguez and the pair race uncoupled. As consistent as they come. speed/stalker has gone 9-4-4-1 with three of her wins coming in stakes like this for fellow New York breds. She's finished second in all three starts at Belmont with one of those coming at this distance.
3rd pick: #8 (Wonderment) (12-1) - A two-time stakes winner, she's ired badly in her last pair. However one of those was on the local grass and I don't believe she cared for the footing. She's a perfect two-for-two on the main track here and has a shot at a big price.
4th pick: #4 (Katniss the Victor) (5-1) - The second of the Rodriguez trained fillies, she's been freshened up since March 24. Daughter of Midnight Lute' has gone 4-2-1-1 so far and finished third in a two-turn stakes when facing 'open' company Feb 17. Dangerous with her best.
