This colt has gone 6-2-2-0 over-seas and last out ran poorly in the $2,250,000 English Derby (Group 1). In his previous start he missed by a 'neck' in a Group 2 $250K stakes at York. Barn ads lasix and top jock Jeremy Spencer is in for the mount.
2nd pick: #9 (Beach Patrol) (12-1) - Longshot ships from Penn National where he raced evenly as the favorite in he rich 'Penn Mile Stakes' (G3) June 4. Colt had gone 5-2-2-1 prior to that on the grass and has more early speed than most.
3rd pick: #6 (Camelot Kitten) (5-1) - No speed type has only one blemish on his record. That came Oct. 30th in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Turf (G1). He has a solid record (5-3-2-0) other than that and enters of a pair of stakes wins, the latest coming here June 4. Win candidate.
4th pick: #7 (Long Island Sound) (7-2) - The second of the pair from Aidan O'Brien, he's won three of four and ran 3rd in a Group 3 at Royal Ascot in his only loss. He has a flexible running style and has lasix (which is banned in Europe) administered.
5th pick: #8 (Airoforce) (10-1) - Grey colt has been sharp in all five grass starts, and last out finished 2nd in the Penn National Mile (G3). He was in front of 'Beach Patrol' at the finish and must be left in the mix.
