Top pick: #9 (GRANNY'S KITTEN) (8-1) - Very lightly-raced, Ramsey home bred by 'Kitten's Joy' won his first pair, including a debut win on this surface a year ago. Gingerly handled since, colt was probably best when beaten less than a length in a rich stakes at Penn National May 30. He had all sorts of traffic issues in a large field (11). Can take this at a square price.
2nd pick: #8 (Startup Nation) (6-1) - Colt finished third here going 1 1/8th miles on the grass in a $200K stakes May 30. Solid effort, it was his first since late October. Strong finisher will have no issues with this 10-furlong trip and he's be finishing fast.
3rd pick: #1 (Takeover Target) (5-1) - From the same barn (Chad Brown) as 'Startup Nation,' lightly-raced colt was beaten a 'neck' in the same last race as his stable-mate. He was a bit over a length in front of him and draws a ground saving post for his stalking style.
4th pick: #2 (Bolo) (7-2) - The probable speed, he's 3-for-4 on the turf with his only loss coming in his debut last Nov at Del Mar. He doesn't necessarily need the lead to be successful and that versatility is a plus. In the mix.
