Top pick: #1 (WAKE UP IN MALIBU) (7-2) - Lightly-raced gelding will be moving from turf to dirt, shortening up in distance, and he's breaking from the rail. His lone win came here on the dirt at this trip in late May and I like his chances.
2nd pick: #6 (Ogermeister) (5-2) - Lightly-raced gelding has a stalking style and enters in good form. Owned and trained by Wesley Ward, 3-year-old by "Silver Train" ships in from Churchill Downs, is working fast, and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Staglamite) (4-1) - "Main track only" entrant has sharp early speed and is moving back in with fellow state-breds for this attempt. He likes it at Belmont 3-1-1-0 and should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #5 (One More Chief) (2-1) - Another entered for the "main track only," he's gone 8-2-0-2 on the dirt and speed/stalker is in good form at present. Four-year-old must be left in the mix.
