Top pick: #1 (STRIKE THE BELL) - Has a win at this seven-furlong distance her earlier this season and she's coming off her best effor ever, a win at Saratoga in a 5.5 furlong contest. Doing very well at present so trainer Dave Donk brings her back quickly for this (18 days) the top selection.
2nd pick: #8 (Haka) - She hasn't raced since February when she finished second in a pair of graded stakes on the Santa Anita "poly". Lone turf start wasn't bad and this beautifully-bred filly ("Dynaformer" out of a "Mr. Prospector" mare) is a win threat if ready.
3rd pick: #7 (West Ocean) - She gives away a lot of experience (2-1-1-0) and moves right into a stakes after a nice-looking maiden win at Saratoga on Sept. 3. Daughter of "Elusive Quality" looks like she has a bright future.
