Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (SPIETH) (4-1) - Lightly raced and well bred, Godolphin owned 3yo is facing winners for the first time. Son of 'Bernardini' was a very impressive maiden winner going nine furlongs Aug. 16 at Saratoga. Working fine since, he draws a nice outside post at this one-turn mile, and this colt may have a very bright future.
2nd pick: #4 (Faja) (7-2) - Tough call as this colt is racing for the first time since Dec. 17. He was almost a nine-length winner that day when debuting at this one-turn, mile trip at Gulfstream Park. In the barn of Todd Pletcher, he's working steadily, has Castellano back on the re-ride, and could win this or finish out of the money. Tough call.
3rd pick: #2 (Meantime) (3-1) - Promising colt has been competitive in five of his six starts, with his only poor effort coming in the Belmont (G1) June 10. Speed/stalker missed by a 'neck' at this level Aug. 19 at Saratoga and is a win candidate in this spot.
4th pick: #3 (Hammerin Aamer) (6-1) - In good shape at present, he won at this trip facing weaker May 4. Competitive in both starts since then, he can factor at a square price with his best.
