Top pick: #4 (SUMMER PLACE TO BE) (6-5) - Gelding was an impressive maiden winner when debuting at Saratoga going seven furlongs on Aug. 17th. He's worked well since, and meets a sup-par field for this level in his first facing winners. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Junior Officer) (4-1) - Trainer Rudy Rodriguez won a pair on yesterday's card, and he brings this veteran back in six days for this attempt. He drops him down today, and the last time he ran at this level he won on April 27.
3rd pick: #7 (Mr Rosenthal) (12-1) - Speedy sort drops down and moves from turf to dirt for trainer Greg DiPrima. There's very little visible speed signed on, and it makes this gelding by "Belong to Me" dangerous at a big price.
4th pick: #3 (Alcolite) (5-1) - No speed type comes off a career best when he finished second at this level going 1 1/8th miles around two-turns at Saratoga Aug. 16th. He runs third back off almost a four month layoff and would benefit the most by a fast and/or contested.
