Top pick: #6 (BIG TRUCK) - Just missed in his turf debut and by the looks of that race he would appear to have a "Big" future on that surface. Talented and in a great grass barn, (Barclay Tagg), he has an extremely fast work leading into this.
2nd pick: #1 (Atwell) - All turf races are acceptable (7-2-2-2) and gelding is much improved since coming back from a spring vacation. Just missed two back in The "Jersey Derby" and he brings good speed to the contest.
3rd pick: #7 (Sailor's Cap) - Lightly raced runner won the "Colonial Turf Cup" two back and then finished a fine third in the "Virginia Derby" on the same track. Freshened-up since that July 19, race, he's been drilling steadily for his return.
