Top pick: #4 (DREAMING AS ALWAYS) (5-2) - Lightly-raced filly takes on winners for the first time following a sharp maiden win at this distance April 26th at Aqueduct. Home bred by 'Broken Vow' still has a lot of potential and her ability to stay close up in the early stages is a big plus.
2nd pick: #3 (Detail) (3-1) - In form daughter of 'City Zip' has improved noticeably since trainer Chad Brown added Lasix two starts back. She was an easy maiden winner on Aqueduct's inner-surface March 8th, then rallied strongly to miss by a 'nose" at this trip on the turf April 18th. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Race and Shine) (6-1) - Filly won a pair on the Gulfstream turf over the winter and missed by just under a length racing at this level and distance on the Aqueduct grass April 19th. A career best overall, it came off almost a two month freshening. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Moonlit Sonnet) (8-1) - She's racing back into shape following several layoffs and it's a good sign that she's stringing starts together. Mare finished a fast closing third last out and was 1 1/2 lengths behind 'Race and Shine.' Working well since, 5-year-old has run well on this course in the past 2-1-1-0.
