Top pick: #2 (QUIET POWER) (6-5) - He moves up in class following a career best performance on April 7th at Aqueduct. Racing first off a Rudy Rodriguez claim that afternoon, gelding rated early, took over when asked, and drew claer to an easy win racing for a $20K tag against "open" company going a mile. Fits nicely with these, and a repeat of his latest makes him very tough.
2nd pick: #9 (Amberjack) (7-2) - Lightly-raced colt was a very impressive maiden winner at Aqueduct on Dec. 8 racing at this "flat" mile trip and was taken to Floroda by trainer Dale Romans. $185K yearling showed little on Jan. 1 at Gulfstream and has been on the sidelines since. He has a new trainer (Mike Hushion 33% with new arrivals) and colt is working sharply on this surface. Dangerous.
3rd pick: #3 (Ego Friendly) (8-1) - Another lightly-raced colt, Broman home-bred showed nothing last out in his first back from a pair of layoffs. Has some talent, and the faster the pace, the better his chances.
4th pick: #1 (Greeley's Law) (15-1) - Veteran has won four races overall and moves up in class for this attempt. He has some late kick, draws a ground saving post, and could impact at a big price.
