Top pick: #6 (JERSEY TOWN) - This is an excellent field assembled for this small overnight stakes race as this 7-horse crew has 49 wins and $3,000,000 in earnings. This hard-hitter is better going a bit farther, but was wisely scratched by trainer Barclay Tagg earlier in the meet when he would have faced "To Honor and Serve" going a mile. One-run type should get a very fast pace to rally into and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Travellin Man) - Lightly raced, well-bred, and very fast, last out he defeated "Jersey" in a small sprint stakes at Gulfstream in a contest that went in incredibly fast time for the 6.5 furlongs (1:14.60). He has a near bullet work her five days ago and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Comedero) - Arkansas-bred has won 11-of-18 dirt starts and moves back to the "real" thing after a very poor effort on the Keeneland "poly" last out. He's since come back with a pair of quick local drills and he should be involved from start to finish at a nice price.
