Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (GOIA STELLA) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Chris Clement and the pair race uncoupled. She tired here in the slop May in a contest that was taken 'off the turf.' It was her first race since late November and she probably needed it to advance her conditioning. Stalker is clearly better on the grass and gets a slight edge in a competitive contest.
2nd pick: #2 (Penjade) (9-2) - French import rallied from last to win a mile allowance by a 'nose' here May 10. Four-year-old has gone 6-1-3-1 since coming to No. America with her lone sub par effort coming in a stakes at Gulfstream. From the barn of Chad Brown, he's having an incredible meet 30-for-107 (28%). Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #1 (Now Power) (8-1) - The main speed, she's training fast locally for her first since Oct. 14. Mare by 'Tiznow' has been sharp in both previous local appearances including a 1/2 length loss at this level and distance a year ago. Dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #7 (Puca) (4-1) - Mare is shortening up in distance after missing by a 'nose' going 10 furlongs in a first-level allowance May 19. It was a solid effort and this filly looked to have a very brought future before injuries sent her in for an 18 month layoff beginning in May of 2015.
