Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (MANITOULIN) (9-2) - Race is loaded with well bred horses from top barns. This son of 'Awesome Again' is out of champion turf mare 'Soaring Softly.' He's been brought along slowly by grass specialist Jimmy Toner, and last out was finishing fast while checking in 4th. A career best, and it was his first at this 10-furlong distance. He gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #6 (Turf Commander) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown, and the pair race uncoupled. Lightly raced and improving, he's been sharp in both starts, and races today with blinkers on. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #1 (Sport) (3-1) - Son of 'Hard Spun' was bet down to favoritism here at this level and distance May 15. He was far back early, but rallied to finish 3rd and was a length in front of 'Manitoulin.' He's worked twice on the Saratoga training track since then and is making back-to-back starts for the first time. An obvious threat.
th pick: #2 (Deeply Undervalued) (5-1) - The second of the pair from Chad Brown, son of 'Kitten's Joy' is stretching out in distance after checking in 2nd here at this level going 8.5 furlongs May 7. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting at Saratoga nine months earlier.
th pick: #10 (Who's Your Drama) (8-1) - He may be the main speed of this large field. Grey gelding is working fast, and trainer Tod Pletcher removes this 3yo's blinkers following a one-race experiment. Has a shot at a big price.
