Top pick: #12 (LADY OF VICTORY) (7-2) - Daughter of 'War Front' stretches out a furlong after rallying to finish second here at this level going 6-furlongs June 18. By far a career best, she's worked fast since and draws a nice outside post for this 7-furlong distance. Gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #4 (Orient Harbor) (4-1) - No-speed type began to put it together last summer. Home bred just missed here at this level and trip May 23 in her first start since last October. Working fast and I think she still has a bright future despite being 4.5-years-old.
rd pick: #1 (Josdenieamux) (6-1) - She won a pair of longer turf races facing weaker this past winter at Gulfstream. Three-year-old 'stumbled' and dumped her rider here May 6 and hasn't run since. Lightly raced, she'll need to work out a good trip from this inside post in a large field.
th pick: #10 (Greywalls) (8-1) - Grey filly broke her maiden here at this distance on the grass June 17. A career best, the final time was slow. Can grab a minor award, but she'll need to run much faster to threaten the top two picks.
th pick: #9 (Glacken's Gift) (6-1) - Well bred and lightly-raced, Four-year-old by 'Medaglia d'Oro' is racing off a 9-month layoff and on the turf for the first time. Training steadily at Saratoga, she has early speed and is bred to handle the grass.
