2nd pick: #8 (Dr Edgar) (8-1) - Lightly-raced 5-year-old has been on the sidelines since Sept. 17 when he was a gate-to-wire winner going a mile here facing weaker. His career turned around when he began racing on the grass and he's gone 8-3-2-1 since then. Working steadily, long shot has run well off of layoffs in the past.
3rd pick: #4 (Morocco) (12-1) - Expensive ($375,000) 4-year-old son of 'Pioneer of the Nile' is returning from a nine month layoff in this spot. Speed/stalker was prepared for this at Saratoga before breezing a sharp 3 furlongs here July 7 and is a threat at a big price if ready.
4th pick: #2 (Kulin Rock) (5-1) - No-speed type rallied from far back to finish fourth here at this level going a mile June 16. It was his first back from a 2 month freshening and 4-year-old followed that up with a fine half-mile work July 7. A fast and/or contested pace would help his chances out.
