There's plenty of early speed signed on and that should lead to a nice set-up for his stretch run.
2nd pick: #3 (Wicked Macho) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he's one of several lightly-raced colts entered that have both speed and room for upside. He's one-for-two so far, both facing 'open' company. Speedster is facing fellow New York breds for the first time and is dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #8 (Duquesne Whistle) (3-1) - Another of the lightly-raced group, he tired after dueling through fast fractions to check in a distant third here May 29. Colt was 8.5 lengths in back of 'Benevolence' that afternoon, but is working fast and his outside post will give jockey Irad Ortiz Jr some early options.
4th pick: #1a (Cerretalto) (7-2) - Colt tired late after setting the pace at this level going a mile on the grass June 3. It was his first start in three months and he's back on the dirt while shortening up in distance.
