Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (MISSION COMMAND) (6-1) - Longshot broke his maiden here going six furlongs in fast time Sept. 9. Competitive in all three appearances, grey colt is working steadily and has blinkers added for his first facing winners. Can take this at a big price.
nd pick: #9 (Mr Buff) (12-1) - Another longshot, Broman home bred broke his maiden here going seven furlongs Sept. 23. Only his second start, he completed the distance in good time and worked a solid half-mile here Oct 8. Can factor in this spot.
rd pick: #8 (Pat On the Back) (10-1) - Speed/stalker stretches out a furlong after finishng second here in a $150K stakes going seven furlongs Oct 2. Already proven against winners, he should be involved every step.
th pick: #7 (Runaway Lute) (7-2) - Tough call. He won his first pair in very impressive style and both came here at Belmont. Last out at Saratoga he was 'vanned off' when beaten almost 20 lengths in the Gi Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga Sept. 5. Working above average since, he's a major factor with his 'A' game.
th pick: #10 (Tellmeafookystory) (8-1) - Longshot is the only horse entered with a win at this mile distance. He did so here Oct 11 in his first race in two months and first off a private trainer change to Todd Pletcher. No-speed type would love a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
