Top pick: #8 (FIREHOUSE RED) - Trainer Larry Jones and jockey Annie Napravnik have been a lethal team of late, taking the (G1) Kentucky Oaks, and also the (G2) Peter Pan. This rapidly improving daughter of "Arch" ran a career best when finishing 2nd at Churchill Downs in the $184K Edgewood stakes on May 4th. Effort was on the grass, at this trip, and the filly that beat her (Stephanie'S Kitten) would be a heavy favorite if entered here.
2nd pick: #3 (Somali Lemonade) - Very strong finisher outkicked "Firehouse" when finishing 2nd last out in the Appalachian S(G3), her first start since running well last Nov at Churchill in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies (G2). She looks to have a vey bright future and lightly raced daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" is the only one entered who has won on this course in the past.
3rd pick: #7 (Zultanite) - Longshot finished 2nd here at this distance facing weaker on Mat 12th and she's clearly getting better. Dominguez stays put and this filly by "El Corredor" may do well at a big price.
