However, she lost her next two starts and was sent in for a 3.5 month rest by trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. Now a 4-year-old, daughter of 'Bernardini' ran second at Aqueduct in a seven-furlong stakes in her return race April 17. Stalker is brought back quickly and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Carrumba) (7-5) - Phipp's home bred has gone 7-4-3-0 to date and enters with back-to-back G3 stakes wins at Aqueduct going longer. Another filly by 'Bernardini,' she's won twice in three starts at Belmont and both have come at this mile trip. An obvious win threat.
3rd pick: #3 (Spelling Again) (12-1) - She ships in from Keeneland where she ran evenly in the Madison Stakes (G1) going seven furlongs April 9. It was her first race since late November and this filly has been sharp in her last pair of stakes efforts at this mile trip. May grab a share at a big price.
