Top pick: #1 (SPEAKING OF WHICH) (3-1) - Irish-import has run well in all but one of his starts (6-2-2-1) and in that race at Hollywood Park in late Nov. he had all sorts of traffic problems. A Group 3 winner in his native country, he's been training nicely all winter/spring at Payson Park and loks well-prepared by trainer Chris Clement.
2nd pick: #4 (King Kresa) (5-1) - He's the main speed and comes off a solid pace-setting third-place finish at Gulfstream in the (G3) "Appleton" March 30th. Race was his first since Dec. 1 and this hard-hitting New York-bred likes this surface (4-2-2-0) and looks like he has a big season ahead of him.
3rd pick: #3 (Lubash) (7-2) - Veteran has banked $500K in his career and all but $4K of that has come on the grass. Another who has done well here in the past (11-3-3-1) and this one-run type must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Real Solution) (6-1) - Lightly raced Pa.-bred made his first five starts in Italy, winning three of those and runs for the first time since Sept. 2. He has a new trainer (Chad Brown 28% with new arrivals) and lasix is added for the first time. Interesting runner.
