Top pick: #5 (PRINCESS VIOLET) (5-2) - "Violet" has gone 6-3-2-0 overall and has won both previous starts with ease facing fellow New York breds. Speed/stalker is moving way up in class and trying a longer distance, but she's in sharp form and still has room for upside.
2nd pick: #1a (Carameaway) (5-1) - Filly is in by far the best shape of her career and has won two in a row with ease since coming off a 2 1/2 month vacation on Aug. 14. Daughter of "Lawyer Ron" won here going a mile Sept. 19 and the final time (1:34 flat) was impressive. Working fast since and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Flipcup) (4-1) - Stakes winner has gone 6-1-3-2 in 2014 and stalker won the "New York Oaks" at Finger Lakes July 12th. She's finished a close up second in her last pair and both have come at this trip. She's in the three horse win mix.
4th pick: #3 (Sunny Desert) (8-1) - Veteran was in very sharp form earlier in her career but has been a bit subpar of late. A stakes winner many times over, mare is a threat with her best.
