Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (TIZZA TEMPER) (7-2) - Well bred filly rallied to miss by a 'head' when debuting at this level on a sloppy track Aug 10 at Saratoga. Daughter of 'Tiznow' has worked fast twice since including a sharp local half-mile breeze Sept. 16. Home bred gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #11 (High Jingo) (3-1) - Well backed when debuting in the same Saratoga race as 'Tizza Temper,' she was only a 'head' behind that rival following a less than perfect break. Monmouth based trainer Teri Pompay has breezed her there three times since and all have been way above average. An obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #9 (Cha Cha Heels) (15-1) - Longshot raced both wide andevenly when debuting in the same race as both 'Tizza Temper' and 'High Jingo.' Bet down to favoritism that afternoon, trainer Rudy Rodriguez (20% second time out) is adding blinkers (18%).
th pick: #2 (Karen Kan) (5-1) - One of seven fillies making their first start, this daughter of 'Frost Giant' cost $200,000 this past March as a 2-year-old in training at Ocala. Three of her last four works are bullets, including a swift half-mile Sept. 6 at Saratoga.
th pick: #5 (Sand City) (6-1) - Another making her first attempt, she's by one of best 2-year-old sires of all time ('City Zip'). Home bred breezed a bullet half-mile here Sept. 10 and has John Velazquez aboard.
