Top pick: #1 (SWEET POTATO) (6-1) - Price play stretches out after a troubled grass sprint at Saratoga when she rallied to finish fourth of seven, beaten a length on Aug. 16th. Race was her first off a three month break, and she's worked nicely since. Trainer Jimmy Toner has this $500K daughter of "Pulpit" making back-to-back starts for celebrity chef Bobby Flay, and 3yo can take this at a good price.

nd pick: #7 (Medea) (4-1) - Irish import rallied to finish second at Gulfstream on Feb. 3rd in her first in 7 1/2 months, and first in No. America. Working fast at Fair Hill, and this daughter of top sire "Danehill Dancer" is a win candidate if ready.

rd pick: #5 (Jewel Kat) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer "Shug" McGaughey, and the pair race uncoupled. Filly by "Indian Charlie" finished a pace-setting second at Monmouth when debuting there at this level & distance on July 20. Working fine locally for this attempt, and she should be involved from gate-to-wire.

th pick: #6 (Cloture) (10-1) - Lasix is added to filly who finished a fast closing third at Gulfstream last Dec. 12th. On the sidelines since, Janney home-bred is working fast and is the second of the McGaughey trained runners.

th pick: #9 (Pleasant Cat) (5-1) - Home-bred by "Tale of the Cat" comes off a pair of solid starts at Saratoga, and they came after she returned from a six month absence. Stretch threat if she avoids a wide trip.
