Top pick: #4 (ALPHA CENTAURI) - Daughter of "Dynaformer", just missed in her well bet debut here on Sept. 15 and trainer Chris Clement has given her five weeks to recover from that initital effort. Filly gets an extra furlong today and that should lead her straight to the winner's circle with just a bit of improvement. The top pick and at a short price.
2nd pick: #8 (Holy Place) - Daughter of "Pulpit", has been freshened up for the past two months by trainer Todd Pletcher, and filly has run well in all three of her starts (all on the turf). Working nicely and she has a flexible style. This one turn mile should fit her nicely.
3rd pick: #10 (Deanaalen's Kitten) - Moves up in class after a near miss at Saratoga on Aug. 15 racing for $25K. Effort was her first in six months and trainer Chad Brown has given her 2 1/2 months of freshening since that sharp try. She ran well at this level earlier in her career and should do so again today.
