Competitive in all three on the lawn, she should like today's 11 furlong trip and trainer Chad Brown has Javier Castellano aboard. I give this daughter of 'Scat Daddy' a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Dynapasser) (3-1) - A home bred by 'Lemon Drop Kid', she's one of two entered by trainer Tom Albertrani and the pair race uncoupled. 3yo has improved tremendously since switching to the turf and has finished second in both starts since then. Latest came in a 9 furlong contest April 13 at Gulfstream Park and she's worked here twice since shipping north. It's noted that Jose Ortiz is riding her for the first time. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Decorating) (8-1) - One of a quartet of 4yos entered, she's the type that can 'run all day'. No-speed type ships from California where she was competitive in two of three this year at this level. A 4yo home bred by 'Galileo', she should love this 11 furlong distance and is a late threat at a big price.
4th pick: #1 (Monhegan) (10-1) - Another of the 4yos entered, she was sharp in both starts at Gulfstream during the winter and is has been training above averae at Fair Hill for her first since March 1. She has tactical speed, a ground saving post, and John Velazquez is aboard for the first time. In the mix.
