2nd pick: #1 (Barrier to Entry) (4-1) - One of two entered by trainer Linda Rice, mare is returning from a seven-month layoff. Veteran has gone 11-2-5-0 at this distance in the past, and both her wins have come at Belmont. Speed/stalker has the rail and is a strong win candidate if ready.
3rd pick: #2 (Startwithsilver) (6-1) - The second of the Linda Rice pair, grey filly hasn't raced since Sept. 10. Consistent sort is working steadily and is a stretch threat if ready with her best.
4th pick: #5 (Aussie Prayer) (10-1) - Another coming off a long layoff (Aug. 19), strong finisher was competitive in all but one of six grass sprints during 2016. Working steadily, and her regular rider (John Velazquez) is aboard for her return.
