Top pick: #4 (WOMEN WIN) (2-1) - Filly set a pressured pace and held to finish second to an impressive looking winner April 17th at Aqueduct. It was only her second race and she's worked fast since. Trainer Mike Hushion has her making back-to-back starts for the first time and is adding blinkers.
2nd pick: #6 (Spuntastic) (8-5) - The morning line favorite, she chased a quick pace before weakening to finish fourth at Keeneland when debuting there April 10th when facing 'open' company. Daughter of 'Hard Spun' has a new trainer (Kiaran McLaughlin 6 for 11 with new arrivals) and he has her in with fellow New York breds today. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Light the Dynamite) (5-1) - Debuting filly is from the same barn (Mike Hushion) as 'Women Win' but the pair race uncoupled. Broman home bred has some fine works showing, but debuts against a stronger than normal field for this level.
4th pick: #1 (Paradise Peak) (20-1) - Not a win candidate, but even-paced filly has the rail and should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into. May grab a share at a very big price.
