Top pick: #1 (B SHANNY) (2-1) - Gelding has been freshened up since a near miss racing for a $50K tag at Aqueduct March 9th. It was his first off a pair of layoffs and first off a Linda Rice claim. Stakes winner in the past, speedy 5-year-old draws the rail and has done well locally in the past at 7-1-2-2.
2nd pick: #2 (Chilton) (7-2) - Strong finisher has won three of his last four and ships back from Philly Park where he scored six days ago in a mid-level starter-allowance. That was a career best overall and trainer Michelle Nevin was the top assistant for Rick Dutrow who specialized in these quick turnarounds.
3rd pick: #6 (Dan's Gold) (8-1) - He's been claimed out of three straight starts and runs today off a Gary Gullo halter for $25K on May 2nd. New barn brings him back quickly, raises him in price, and Gullo is off to a strong start at this young meet (9-3-1-2).
4th pick: #7 (The Rhythmisright) (5-1) - Very fast from the gate, he's won twice in five starts and both were easy victories done in wire-to-wire fashion. There is other speed signed on, but colt draws a nice outside post at this trip to "gun" from.
