Top pick: #8 (TENANGO) (5-2) - He's one of two entered by trainer Dave Jacobson and the pair race uncoupled. Sold privately in early January after breaking his maiden at Santa Anita, his new connections gave him a two month freshening before making his first start on the NYRA circuit. Gelding by "Lion Heart" has finished second in all three races since returning to action on March 9th and last out did so to today's rival and barn-mate "Much Stronger" He draws a nice outside post and should get a fast pace to rally into.
2nd pick: #4 (Much Stronger) (3-1) - As mentioned above, he's in the same barn as "Tenango" and defeated him last out at Aqueduct on April 4th at this mile trip. Speed/stalker should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #3 (Make Your Move) (5-1) - Strong finisher has won two in a row and defeated similar at this level and distance at Aqueduct on March 27th. Darley runner by "Bernardini" cost $320k and comes off a career best and is working sharply for his first in six weeks.
4th pick: #5 (Corinthian Quest) (12-1) - He ran very poorly at Laurel on March 30th, but had been competitive in his first four starts and has been training sharply at Fair Hill for this assignment. In a good barn (Mike Trombetta) and he has J.J. Castellano named on tis gelding.
